Prithvi Shaw joins Vijay Hazare Semi-Final Match



The Vijay Hazare Trophy or the Ranji One Day Trophy was started in 2002–20003 as a limited-overs cricket domestic competition. This trophy is named after the famous Indian cricketer Vijay Hazare. It involves state teams from the Ranji Trophy plates.

The first Vijay Hazare semi-final match is in Bangalore. One of the strongest teams Mumbai will have a match with Hyderabad.

With inclusions of 2 players : Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane, who will join the Mumbai squad after completing their Test match duty against West Indies and along with presence of Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer, the Mumbai batting is worth watching.

Ambati Rayudu and young pacer Mohammed Siraj do make the the Hyderabad side strong, which has been impressive in the national One Day Championship so far.
For Mumbai Team Prithvi Shaw will open with India’s limited overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma. In that case, the left-handed opener Akhil Herwadkar is expected to be benched. Ajinkya Rahane will come in place of either Siddhesh Lad or Suryakumar Yadav.
In this tournament for Mumbai, the three top run-getters so far have been Shreyas Iyer with 311 runs, Prithvi Shaw with 287 runs and Suryakumar Yadav with 237 runs. Ajinkya Rahane stands fourth in the list with 230 runs.
Medium pacer Tushar Deshpande is in full form. He is the one who grabbed five wickets against Bihar in the quarter-final.
On October 18, the Indian ODI squad members are set to report in Guwahati and if Mumbai wins the semi-final, Rohit Sharma will miss the summit clash on October 20.
The Mumbai bowlers have also been consistent with seamer Dhawal Kulkarni with 14 wickets and left-arm spinner Shams Mulani with 15 wickets. For Hyderabad, the bowling will depend on Siraj with 8 wickets from 6 games and Mehidy Hasan with 13 wickets from 8 games.
But Mumbai should not take Hyderabad lightly. Though they don’t have big batsmen but their batting performances are always good in previous matches. For Hyderabad, BP Sandeep with 342runs and Tanmay Agarwal with 292 runs were good performers.Hyderabad is expecting Ambati Rayudu and Mohammed Siraj to perform best.
